Amazon.com wishlist!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Saturday evening! I wanted to share with you my www.amazon.com wishlist! Lets get started....

So, for a while now I have been looking for a makeup brush holder/organizer without spending a lot of money. Today, I was just browsing Amazon and I came across a couple of different ones. One is more girly and super cute, the other one is more sophisticated and it can hold a lot more which I like a lot! But here they are:

Nifty Cosmetic Organizing Carousel, $34.99

Black Polka Dot Romance Wedge Shoe Makeup brush holder, $24.00

So even though the wedge shoe is super cute, I like the carousel much better because I think will obviously hold a lot more. Its about $10 more than the black polka dot one but I think I'd get a lot more use out of the carousel holder. Anyways, thats my amazon.com wishlist! I hope you guys enjoyed this and I'll be blogging again soon! :)

Tutorial for this week...

Hey everyone!! I hope y'all are having a great Monday night! I am so tired, I am working my VBS camp at my church this week and I'm up at 5:30am and I probably won't go to bed until 10pm tonight. So I have an early morning everyday, so I decided I would wear one makeup look for the week. And here's what I came up with!

Now mind you these were taken at 5:30am this morning, so believe me after literally running around the church campus all day TRUST ME it doesn't look this pretty anymore..... :( But anyways, this is actually the same look I wore yesterday and I really liked it so I decided to make it the look I wear all week.

So here's what I'm using for this look:

FACE:

  • Olay Complete all day daily UVA/UVB moisturizer for sensitive skin
  • Hard Candy Sheer Envy skin perfecting face primer
  • Sei Bella tinted moisturizer in Fawn
  • NYX powder blush in Cinnamon
  • ELF translucent matifying face powder

EYES:

  • Too faced shadow insurance
  • NYX jumbo eye pencil in Rust
  • Wet n Wild trio in Sweet as candy
  • Covergirl lashblast volume mascara in black

LIPS:

  • Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in Honey

So thats it for what I'm using for this look! I'll go through a entire face, eye and lip tutorial for you now, so you can see how I did this look entirely!

So the first thing I did was I applied olay complete all day daily UVA/UVB moisturizer for sensitive skin all over my face and down my neck. I also went ahead and applied too faced shadow insurance to my lids so that could start drying. After my too faced primer dried, I applied my NYX jumbo eye pencil in rust all over my lids, then after blending it out I went to my wet n wild trio in sweet as candy and taking a flat shadow brush, I applied the pink shade to my lids over the top of the jumbo pencil. Then taking a crease brush, I applied the brown shade to my crease and I blended that out. Finally, I applied the white pearly shade to my browbone.

After my olay moisturizer dried, I applied my hard candy sheer envy skin perfecting face primer all over my face and also down my neck a little. When that dried, I applied my sei bella tinted moisturizer in fawn all over my face and once again down my neck. Then I applied, NYX powder blush in cinnamon to my cheeks. Then finally, to complete my face makeup I applied ELF translucent matifying powder all over my face and specifically in my T-zone area.

To add the finishing touches to my look, I applied my covergirl lashblast volume mascara in black to my upper and lower lashes. Then to finish off the entire look, I applied my revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in honey to my lips.

Well, thats it for this tutorial of the week! :) I hope you enjoyed this and I'll be blogging hopefully tomorrow with a fun outift of the day! :) Have a great night everyone! :)

NYX makeup tutorial!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Sunday morning! I just got back from church and I have to go back to setup for my church's VBS camp starting tomorrow. But I wanted to quickly share with you all a tutorial using the nyx products I picked up yesterday at Ulta. Lets get started....

FACE:

  • Hard Candy sheer envy skin perfecting face primer
  • Sei bella tinted moisturizer in fawn
  • NYX Powder blush in Cinnamonn
  • ELF transluescent matifying face powder

EYES:

  • Too Faced shadow insurance
  • NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Rust
  • Wet n Wild trio in Sweet as Candy
  • Covergirl lashblast volume mascara in black

LIPS:

  • Lo'real Colour Riche lipcolor in Fairest Nude
  • Revlon colorburst lip butter in Pink Truffle

The first thing I did was I primed my eyes with too faced shadow insurance. I let that dry for 10 seconds and then I applied NYX jumbo eye pencil in rust to my lids. Then I went to my wet n wild trio in sweet as candy and taking a flat shadow brush I applied the light pink shade over the top of that jumbo pencil on my lids. Then taking a crease brush I applied the brown shade in the same palette to my crease and I blended that out. Finally, I applied the white pearly shade to my browbone. Then to complete my eye look, I applied covergirl lashblast volume mascara in black to my upper and lower lashes. To complete my entire look, I applied lo'real colour riche lipcolor in fairest nide to my lips, then I applied revlon colorburst lip butter in pink truffle over the top of fairest nude for a little more color.

Ulta Haul!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Saturday evening! I just wanted to share with you a small haul of a few products that I picked up from Ulta this afternoon. Lets get started...

I've been eyeing their display of NYX products for quite some time, But I just never took the time to look. After viewing several videos of my friend Emily Eddington saying that she was really enjoying nyx products, I had to see what the deal was about them. Emily has several videos (old and new ones) where she has used nyx products. So today, I finally checked out their display and I was so excited to find some unique shades for the Jumbo eye pencils. When I was looking at these online, I wanted to pick up ones that were different not just your average brown and black. Plus, ulta was having a buy 1 get 1 50% sale of nyx, so I got a great deal on everything! Still, as you all know I use coupons for everything and I got an even better deal using coupons and taking advantage of the sale.

Anyways, lets get onto the pictures and swatches of everything!

So first I picked up this NYX powder blush in pinched, now I saw on Emily's recent blush dupes video that this blush was a dupe for Laura Geller's blush in Mimosa. It swatches beautifully and I think it will be really pretty on the cheeks. Here's a picture and a swatch:

I got this blush for $3.49 including my coupons.

Next, I picked up another NYX powder blush in Cinnamon. This one can draw people away from it because it comes off as an orange blush in the packaging, but really when you swatch it and blend it out it becomes this gorgeous peachy/coral shade on the cheeks. Here's a picture and a swatch:

This is a pretty pigmented swatch, I rubbed my finger in it quite a few times to get this color payoff.

But.... Once you blend it out it becomes this gorgeous peachy/coral shade!

I paid $3.49 for this blush also

The next product I picked up from nyx was NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Iced Mocha. I had seen this pencil once again on an old video from emily and I thought it was just gorgeous! It swaches so creamy and smooth. Here's a picture and a swatch:

I paid $2.62 for this eye pencil with my coupons.

The last product I picked up was another NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Rust. Now this one I thought was very unique and very pretty. It again swatches so smooth and creamy. Here's a picture and a swatch:

I paid $2.61 for this eye pencil with my coupons. So all together after my Ulta $3.50 off $10 coupon and redeeming my 100 ulta points for $3.00 off my purchase, I paid in total $9.92 for all 4 products!!! :D

Well, thats it for my Ulta haul! I hope you enjoyed this and I can't wait to try these products out and review them for you all very soon! Have a great night and I'll be trying to blog everyday next week, keeping you updated on my VBS camp on my other blog: www.lifeingeneral-mariah.blogspot.com and also keeping you updated with daily tutorials and some fun outfits of the day on this blog because we have some costume days coming up in our camp this coming week. So keep your eye out for all of that coming up and I'll be blogging again tomorrow! :)

Influenster summer beauty VoxBox!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Tuesday morning! I'm sorry its been so long since I last posted anything, I've been busy getting ready for my church's Vacation Bible School camp thats next week. Anyways, more on that will be posted soon on my other blog www.lifeingeneral-mariah.blogspot.com!

So first of all, if you haven't heard of Influenster its an online company that you sign up for free, unlock badges and they consider you for a "voxbox" by what badges you have and how many you unlock. All the badges are little quizzes, so there's one for if your a "tweetster", one for people that are "bloggers", people that have a "youtube" channel and so on. So if they consider you for a box, you complete this survey and you get a box full of products to try out and review and then spread the word about the products you liked and didn't like so much.

But before I show you what I received in the box, I have a DISCLAIMER: I received each product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.  I have never accepted money in exchange for a review and I am in no way shape or form affiliated with any of the brands mentioned.

Let's get started: The first product I received for review and testing purposes was Sally Hansen magnetic Nail color in Polar Purple number 902. Next I received Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration lotion sunscreen SPF 30. The next product I received was Quaker Soft baked Bar in Banana Nut Bread. Next I received, Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme. And finally, I received Tampax and Always radiant collection.

These are all the products I recieved and I'll go into a more in depth look at each one:

The first thing is the Sally hansen Magnetic nail color in Polar Purple number 902. I applied this yesterday and I am LOVING this polish!!! It creates a really cool look on your nails. Here's a picture:

What makes that cool "ripple" design is you take off the big cap and flip it over because the magnet is on top. Then you hold it on your finger just below your cuticle for 10 seconds, then you remove the magnet and it makes that cool design! :)

Next is the Hawiian Tropic Silk Hydration lotion SPF 30. I really like this lotion! It smells like coconuts and I use this on my legs after I get out of the shower, I find that really moisturizes my skin. :)

Then I recieved the Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles hand creme. I haven't used this yet, but I"m very curious to try it out. Because I have dry skin around my nails I am hoping that it will moisturize those areas. I have read reviews on it and people have said that it works flawlessly! :)

The last thing I was sent isn't beauty related but I got the Quaker Soft baked Bars in Banana Nut bread. It says on the packaging that its really good warmed up in the mircowave, so this morning before leaving for an appointment I heated it up in the microwave for 10 seconds. I have to say, it was very good! It contains: Almonds, Soy, Egg, Pecan and Coconut ingredients. It has 5g of fiber, 20% daily value of 5 B vitamins and 6g of Protein.

Ok, so thats it! I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you'll go check out www.influenster.com! Have a great day and I'll be blogging again soon! :)

Bath & Body Works HAUL!

Hey everyone!  hope you all are having a great Tuesday evening! I just wanted to share with you a quick haul from Bath & Body Works!! My mom and I were at the mall today looking for my graduation dress and I remembered that Bath and Body works was having a 75% off sale of select products. I have been wanting some small candles that I can burn on my windowsill in my room and I was looking around in the store, and I found a display that had small candles for only $1.00 each!!! I was so excited, I started smelling the scents and I found 5 that I really, really liked. These candles were originally priced at $3.50 each but I got them for $1.00 each, so I was super excited about that! In total, I paid $5.39 for all 5 candles!! :D

Here are pictures of what I got and what scents they are:

This first one I got is called "Spring", I LOVE this scent! It smells so fresh, like flowers and Spring air. I can't wait to burn this one! :)

The next one I got is called "Drenched Apple Flower", I LOVE this scent as well! It smells like apples and flowers died down with water. I am loving this scent! :)

Then I picked up "Seaside Escape", this smells and reminds me so much of the Ocean! Another scent that I love! :)

Next and lastly I got "White Palm", this one smells like something tropical! I am LOVING this scent!

Well, thats it for my haul! I hope you enjoyed this and I hope you will go check out this Semi-Annual sale, it only lasts until Saturday, July 8th so if you want to get some awesome deals I suggest you go very soon :) Have a great night everyone and I'll be blogging again soon! :)

June beauty favorites (part 2)

Hey everyone! I hope you're having a great Tuesday afternoon! Here is the continuation of my June makeup favorites! This post will include my favorite face and lip products. Lets get started..

1. Hard Candy sheer envy skin perfecting face primer, I have been using up this primer like no other!!! I love the way it fills in my pores for that "flawless" face look. I bought this last month and I am almost out of it, so you know I LOVE it if I'm almost out of it already :)

2. Sei Bella Tinted Moisturizer in Fawn, I LOVE this for the summer time!! It is light wearing and it stands up to the very hot days just great! So I have really been enjoying this for summer :)

3. Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sunlight, awesome bronzer!!! Its matte, so there is no shimmer in it whatsoever and it gives my skin that nice "glow". Its just a great bronzer for warming up your skintone :)

4. Wet n Wild blush in pearlescent pink, I recently picked this up as well and I have never had or tried a wet n wild blush and I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying it. It is very pigmented though, so you only need about two taps with your brush into the product to get what you need.

5. ELF Translucent matifying face powder, I just recently picked this up at Target for $3.00 because I wanted something that would keep my face a little more matte than my Milani multi-tasker face powder. I have been really enjoying the ELF powder, it looks so nice on my skin and makes it look very smooth. Another product that has turned into a LOVE in a very short time :)

Thats it for face products, now moving onto my lip product favorites:

1. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey, I LOVE this lip color!!! It is so gorgeous and it leaves a minty feel to my lips. It goes on with this shine and as you wear it throughout the day, the shine diminishes and you are left with this dusty rose stain on your lips. I bought this last month at Target and I have been wearing it pretty much everyday! :)

2. Lo'real Colour Riche Lip color in Fairest Nude and Tender Pink, I bought these a few weeks ago at Ulta and they are another LOVE product!!! They apply so smooth and are very pigmented. I wore Fairest Nude in my latest tutorial, so if you wanted to see how it looks applied please go check out "Sweet As Candy" makeup tutorial.

3. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle, I have been really enjoying this shade! It is a perfect color for my lips and these are also very pigmented. I have another one in Peach Parfait, but I wear this one much more often. If you want to see this one applied in a tutorial, I used it in my latest tutorial over the top of Fairest Nude to give my lips more of a pinky/nude color. So again to see this shade in action, check out "Sweet As Candy makeup tutorial".

Well, that is it for my HUGE post of beauty favorites for the month of June! I hope I didn't bore anyone too much and I hope you all enjoyed this!! :) Have a fantastic evening everyone and a Bath and Body Works Haul will be posted in a little bit!! :)

June beauty favorites (part 1)

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Tuesday afternoon! I wanted to share with you my makeup favorites for the month of June. I had to split this into 2 parts because I have so many favorites this month, I didn't want to bore you guys with one huge long post. Part 1 will focus on eye makeup products. Part 2 will focus on face and lip products. lets get started.....

Eye makeup favorites:

1. Too faced shadow insurance, I LOVE this eye primer! It keeps my shadows lasting all day, it doesn't crease, and its a long wearing primer that I don't see how I managed without it :)

Next is 2. Covergirl professional all in one mascara in blackest black, I have recently been coming back to this mascara and I really have been liking it. It separates my lashes nicely, gives me some length. But my only downfall with this mascara is it clumps my lashes together.

3. Maybelline Master Drama eyeliner pencil in Vibrant Violet, I have been LOVING this eyeliner! It gives my brown eyes such a pop of color and it really brings them out.

4. Sonia Kashuk smudge brush, OMG! I recently bought this at target for $2.99 and I LOVE it! I use this to smudge and make my eyeliner give off that "softer" look on the eyes and it really does the job exceptionally well! I am in love with this brush! It also does excellent work smudging out my stila kajal eyeliner in Tiger's Eye, so if you don't have this brush in your collection I strongly suggest you pick one up! Because this brush is amazing! You won't be disappointed :)

5. Maybelline color tattoo cream eyeshadow in Tough as Taupe and Bad to the bronze, I have been LOVING these!!! I put them underneath my powder shadows to give more of a pop to the powder shades. They are amazing!!! I haven't had them crease on me with a powder shadow on top, they are long wearing and I think they comparable to MAC paint pots! They are packaged just like the mac paint pots, they come in a glass jar which I think is really nice. The jar says that they have a 24 hour wear, but I don't want to leave them on for that long to find out if they truly are long wearing. But anyways, I am in love with these!!!

6. Wet n Wild color icon eyeshadow trios in Sweet as Candy and Don't Steal my Thunder, I just recently picked these up at Rite Aid and I have been loving these also!!! I have LOVED wet n wild shadows from the beginning because the pigmentation of these shades is absolutely AMAZING! If you want to see both of these trios in a tutorial, I have done a tutorial for both and you can view them in my earlier posts on here. I did a tutorial on Sweet As Candy today and I did a tutorial with Don't steal my thunder last week. But anyways, LOVING these trios!!! :D

Ok, thats it for eye makeup favorites! Part 2 will include my face and lip favorites so please keep your eye out for that post coming very soon! have a fabulous day everyone! :)

Sweet as candy makeup tutorial!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Monday afternoon! I wanted to share with you this makeup look that I created this morning. I felt that it was really pretty and natural enough to wear for daytime like for work and school. The way I applied the liner today creates that "smoky" effect on the eyes to make them really stand out. Lets get started...

Also just a side note, I took my glasses off for this picture so you could see my entire look without the rims of my glasses hiding everything. Anyways, here's what I used on my face, eyes and lips:

FACE:

  • Hard candy sheer envy skin perfecting face primer
  • Sei bella tinted moisturizer in Fawn
  • Benefit Hervana blush
  • ELF matifying transleuscent face powder

EYES:

  • Too faced shadow insurance
  • Maybelline color tattoo cream shadow in tough as taupe
  • Wet n Wild trio in Sweet As Candy
  • Maybelline master drama pencil eyeliner in Vibrant Violet
  • Covergirl professional all in one mascara in blackest black

LIPS:

  • Lo'real Colour Riche lip color in Fairest Nude
  • Revlon Colorburst lip butter in Pink Truffle

So the first I did was I primed my eyes with too faced shadow insurance, then I applied maybelline color tattoo cream shadow in tough as taupe to my lids. Then taking a flat shadow brush, I applied the pinky/peach "eyelid" shade from wet n wild's sweet as candy trio. Then I took a crease brush and applied the brown "crease" shade in that same palette to my crease. Next, I took that same crease brush and applied the white shimmery "browbone" shade to my browbone. Next, I applied maybelline master drama eyeliner pencil in vibrant violet to my upper lash line. Then I smudged that out with sonia kashuk smudge brush (pictured above) to create a "smoky" effect on my eyes. Next, I applied covergirl professional all in one mascara in blackest black to my upper and lower lashes. Finally to complete my entire look, I applied lo'real colour riche lip color in fairest nude to my lips. And to make my lips have more of a color  rather than just nude, I applied revlon colorburst lip butter in pink truffle to my bottom lip and rubbed my lips together to add some pink to my look.

Well thats it for this tutorial! I hope y'all enjoyed it and I hope you will try it out! I hope you have a great day and I'll be posting my June beauty favorites in just a little bit, so keep your eye out for that. Have a great day everyone! :)
