CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara review!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Monday night! I wanted to share with you my review on CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara. Lets get started....

I've been using this mascara for about 4 weeks now and I really am enjoying it! I didn't think I would like the rubber brush, but I really do like it! The shade I have it in is number 805 black.

The Claims of this mascara:

  • The biggest brush EVER from Covergirl for a blast of lush, volumized lashes! LashBlast's volume-boosting formula and brush are designed to max out each and every lash leaving you with the ultimate big lash look.
  • Instant Volume
  • Smudge-and smear proof
  • Hypoallergenic

So those are the claims straight from the packaging. I agree with most of them, it doesn't smudge or smear and I LOVE that it separates my lashes without clumping! I found that it doesn't clump very much, but I still need more volume. I feel that this mascara is kind of average in my opinion. It gives volume, but not the intensity that I would like unfortunately.

From my personal use here are my pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Doesn't smudge or smear
  • Doesn't flake
  • Doesn't clump too much
  • Removes easily with soap and water

Cons:

  • Lacks volume intensity

Overall, this mascara is great! Just not at the volume intensity I would like. But I still enjoy it alot! Well, I think thats it for this review! I hope y'all enjoyed it and I'll be blogging again soon! Have a great night everyone! :)

Target and Kohls Haul!

Hey Everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Friday night! So today, my mom was ever so sweet and she took me to Kohls to buy me some clothes that made me feel "pretty" and "beautiful". And we also went by Target for a minute and I got a couple things. Lets get started...

So first we went to Kohls and the first thing I picked up was this gorgeous Jennifer Lopez long flowy floor length dress.

Its so pretty and very comfortable! It will be great for summer to wear with sandals or flip flops.

Next, I got this gorgeous emipre waist dress by Apt.9. Its a really pretty red and purple pattern.

Its a tank top style dress and its knee length. I really love this dress!

The next thing I got was this purple pattern emipre waist V-neck flowy top by Daisy Fuentes. I love this because it floats away from the part that I want to de-emphasize which is my mid-section.

Next and last thing I got was again a top with an emipre waist and a small ruffle around the neckline which is a "V" shape. The top is by Apt.9.

I love the pattern! Its very colorful and this one also floats away from my mid-section which is great!

Ok, so that was it for Kohls. Next, we went to Target because I wanted to pick up a couple of things.

The first thing I got was a Sonia Kashuk Smudge brush that I actually saw my friend Emily Eddington (emilynoel83) use for a tutorial in a video last year. I really love this brush! Its very dense and stiff so its great for smudging out eyeliner or applying shadow to your lash line. I had a $2.00 off coupon for it, so it originally was $4.99 and with the coupon, I paid $2.99 for the brush!

Next and last thing I got was ELF studio matifying transluscent powder. I'm really happy with this! Its very pigmented and applies so well! It also feels very light which is great. So I can't wait to start trying this out!

I paid $3.00 for it! Elf products are super cheap, so I figured that was awesome since I'm an incoming college student with not a whole lot of money.

Well, thats it for this haul! I hope y'all enjoyed this and I hope you have a great night! I'll be blogging again soon! :)

MASSIVE Coupon Haul!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Monday afternoon! My mom and I went on a massive couponing adventure this morning and I was able to get some awesome deals! I wanted to share them with y'all, so lets get started.....

We first went to Target and I got the NEW Revlon Just bitten kissable balm stain in Honey number 001. So it was originally $7.69 but I had a $2.00 off revlon cosmetics target coupon, so that made the total $5.99 then I had a target gift card with $3.17 left on it. So that made the total $2.96! For the purchase at Target, I paid $2.96 for a product that was originally $7.69! The shade is gorgeous, I swatched it on my hand and I loved it! I can't wait to try it out! Here's a picture and a swatch of it:

Its like those NYX jumbo eye pencils, its very creamy and it feels very nice on your lips. I noticed that it has a minty smell to it, which I like. Overall, I love this Revlon balm stain! :)

Next, we went to Rite Aid and I picked up a killer deal from Wet n Wild! They were having a 40% off sale of ALL wet n wild cosmetics. And so, I got 2 more eyeshadow trios and a blush. Here are some pictures and swatches:

This is "Don't Steal My Thunder"

This palette is gorgeous! I love the shades it has! Very pigmented as always and great color payoff!

This is "Sweet As Candy"

Again, love the shades and very pigmented also! Great color payoff as well!

This is the wet n wild blush in "Pearlescent Pink"

This blush I have never tried before and I actually picked it up because I watched emilynoel83's video on Drugstore blush dupes for high end blushes. And this one was a dupe for the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Peaceful. This blush has the slightest bit of golden shimmer and it is just gorgeous!! So I was very excited about that! So all together, I paid $3.60 for all 3 products!!! So each product was $1.19!

Our next stop was Ulta and originally I went there to get the new covergirl eyeshadow quads, but they were out of the shades I wanted. I also went there to pick up a couple lo'real lipsticks and a black pencil eyeliner. Here are some pictures and swatches:

This eyeliner is from Essence and it is a retractable pencil, so you don't have to sharpen it which is nice. It is very creamy, and it glides on so smoothly. I have never tried this brand before, so I'm excited to try it out! But first impression, I really like it! :)

Next, I purchased at Ulta this Lo'real colour riche lipstick in Fairest Nude. This is a gorgeous color and I really like it! I got this color because a while back emilynoel83 had done a video on high end lipstick dupes and this color is a dupe for MAC's lipstick Viva Glam II. So I was very excited when I found this because my drugstores had been out of it.

The next shade I purchased was Lo'real colour riche lipstick in Tender Pink. This shade is a little darker than the fairest nude, but it is a really nice color. Both of these lipsticks are very pigmented and I feel that both are very moisturizing on my lips. So they were originally priced at $6.99 each, but they were buy 1 get one 50% off, I had 2 coupons for $1.00 off lo'real cosmetics and I had an Ulta coupn for $3.50 off $10 or more. So after coupons, I paid $7.51!

Well, thats it for my massive coupon haul! Total saved today was 50%! I can't wait to try all this out and I'll be doing tutorials and reviews on everything soon! I hope y'all enjoyed this and I'll be blogging again soon! Have a fantastic night everyone! :)

Father's Day makeup tutorial....

Hey everyone! Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! I hope y'all are having a fabulous Sunday afternoon! I wanted to share with you my makeup tutorial for today. So lets get started...

FACE:

  • Hard candy skin perfecting face primer
  • Sei bella tinted moisturizer in Fawn
  • Milani multi-tasker face powder
  • Benefit hervana blush

EYES:

  • Too faced shadow insurance
  • Wet n wild trios in Knock on Wood & Walking on Eggshells
  • Covergirl Lashblast Volume mascara in Black

LIPS:

  • Sun shades lip balm in Vanilla Bean

The first thing I did was I primed my eyes with too faced shadow insurance. Then taking a flat eyeshadow brush I went straight to my wet n wild trio in knock on wood and applied the plum "eyelid" shade to my lids. And taking a crease brush, I applied the light brown "crease" shade from the wet n wild trio in walking on eggshells and blended that out. Next, I applied my new covergirl lashblast Volume mascara in black to my upper and lower lashes. Finally, I applied sun shades lip balm in vanilla bean to my lips to complete my look.

Thats it for this tutorial! I hope y'all will try this out and I hope you enjoyed it! Also, just to mention I went with the lighter brown shade in the crease because this was a look for church this morning and I didn't want it to be too dark for daytime. But you certainly could play this up a little by applying the darker purple shade from the knock on wood palette to your crease if you wanted to. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this and I'll be blogging again soon! Have a great day everyone! :)

Rimmel London Concealer vs. Covergirl fresh complexion concealer

Hey Everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Thursday morning! I wanted to share with you my review of Rimmel London's Hide the blemish stick concealer and Covergirl Fresh Complexion liquid concealer. This is mainly for comparison but its also a review of the Rimmel London stick concealer. So lets get started...

First of all, I love rimmel products! I have the Rimmel natural bronzer in sunlight and I LOVE it! But I bought this concealer a while back when I was first trying out drugstore makeup. I thought it would be good at the time, but the more I used it the more I disliked it. It comes in a tube and you pull off the cap to reveal a stick concealer. When you swatch it on your hand, it has this sticky consistency, and when you try to blend it in, it doesn't blend at all! It stays on fine, but it looks cakey. Its just not a good concealer. To compare the two concealers, here are swatches of both:

Top: Rimmel Hide the blemish concealer in Ivory
Bottom: Covergirl fresh complexion concealer in Soft Honey

I love the consistency of the Covergirl concealer, because it goes on so smooth and blends really easy. I found that the rimmel concealer was too light and the covergirl concealer matches my skin tone perfectly!

The covergirl fresh complexion concealer also comes in a tube, but this has a doe foot wand applicator. Which I like a lot better because it gives me exactly the amount that I need for my blemishes I'd like to conceal. I also like that when you blend it in, it disappears into your skin. This concealer is wonderful, I really enjoy it!

I like liquid concealers and foundations because they seem to blend better into your skin. And they also don't appear cakey, they are also really smooth and creamy.

So thats my comparison and also my review of both concealers! I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope y'all have a great day! :)

Walmart.com Haul!

Good morning everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Tuesday morning! I wanted to share with my haul from www.walmart.com that finally came in the mail yesterday! Sometime last week, emilynoel83 (www.beautybroadcast.net) and (www.youtube.com/emilynoel83) posted a picture on Instagram of a really cute tank top that was black and had pink and purple lips all over it. So I went to my walmart store to see if it was there and it wasn't unfortunately. I went online to see if I could find it and I finally found it! It comes in a 2-pack and they are called OP rib tank tops. With tax, shipping and all I paid $9.59! The shipping at walmart is incredibly cheap, only $0.97 cents! Anyways, I ordered them last week and they finally arrived in the mail yesterday! I got a size large because they are from the juniors section :)

Here are the pictures:

I really love both of them, but my favorite out of the two is the black one! I just think its so cute! :) Anyways, thats it for my walmart.com haul! I hope you guys have a great day! :)

TJ-Maxx Haul!

Hey everyone! I hope y'all are having a great Saturday evening! I had a great afternoon discount shopping with my aunt at TJ-Maxx. I wanted to share with you what I got, so lets get started....

The first thing I got were these tan shorts with a splattered sort of design on them. They are by the brand 1st Kiss and they were $14.99

Next I got these denim shorts by the same brand as the shorts above. And they were $14.99 also.

The next thing I got was this really pretty light blue tank top with a embellished detailing at the neckline. The brand is by Willi Smith and it was $16.99.

The last thing I got was this multi-colored thick strap tank top dress with a gathered upper bodice. The brand is by Lucy and Laurel and it was $24.99.

I really love everything I got and I was so happy because the dress I got will probably be the dress I will wear for my graduation party in August. And so that was exciting! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this little haul from TJ-Maxx. Have a fabulous night everyone! :)
